UK PM Theresa May faces first Brexit Bill defeat over EU Citizen Rights

Prime Minister of UK, Theresa May has faced her first Brexit bill defeat over the issue of securing rights of EU citizens living in the UK.

Members of the House of Lords, Britains upper house yesterday voted 358 to 256 for an amendment requiring ministers to protect the rights of EU nationals based in the UK following Brexit.

The Government’s defeat could prove that MPs can remove the amendment when it comes back to the House of Commons.
