Our Fight Against Climate Change

Climate change is a global concern. And Global warming has caused serious changes to the planet, such as rising sea levels, extreme weather conditions, deforestation, disappearance of species, and many more.

Indian cities have been at the receiving end of climate change recently in the form of urban floods, poor air quality and heatwaves. As individuals, we can slow down global warming by implementing small more sustainable actions within our community.

Our Government’s approach hasn’t been too assertive in this regard. The measures taken are moving at a snail’s pace. It’s high time we need to unite to focus on solutions for sustainability.

Let’s take individual steps towards the following at the earliest:

Avoid using plastic items.

Use energy wisely and carefully.

Use Eco-friendly fuel such as LPG, CNG, biogas, and other eco-friendly fuels.

Refrain from using diesel cars and opting to use electric vehicles.

Opting for green crackers which are environmental friendly instead of firecrackers that are toxic to the environment.

Constructing energy-efficient and climate-friendly buildings.

Proper disposal of garbage and avoid polluting environment and water bodies by discharging wastes in open.

Putting the 3 R’s of sustainability ( Reduce, Reuse & Recycle) into mandatory practice.

Acting against forest loss by carrying out plantation drives in large numbers as it can absorb up to tons of carbon dioxide.

Awareness campaigns by starting conversations on how to tackle climate change.

Immediate actions are needed in the fight against climate change. Therefore, consume less, waste less, enjoy life more.
