Puri Rebounces Back; Rath Jatra Celebrated With Great Enthusiasm & Grandeur

After cyclone Fani hit Puri, it had entered a gloom. But with the grand celebration of Rath Jatra, it is back with its essence.

A sea of people turned up to pay their devotion and witness Lord Jaganath, Lord Balabhadra and Devi Subhadra. People from every corner gathered to celebrate it with great fervour and happiness.

Rath Jatra is an annual event dedicated to Lord Jagannath, his sister Goddess Subhadra and his elder brother Lord Balabhadra. It is believed that every year Lord Jagannath expresses his desire to visit his aunt’s house, Gundicha temple for a few days from his abode, Jagannath temple with his siblings in a chariot.
