Water Level Rises In Hirakud Dam

Hirakud Dam witnessed an increase in water level due to persistent rain in the past days.

Presently, the level stood at 600.54 feet due to heavy rainfall to its 630 feet of capacity.

The decision of releasing water will be considered after taking stock of the situation in the upper catchment.

Similarly, on July 7, due to heavy and incessant rain in the upper catchment areas, Machkund Reservoir in Koraput witnessed a rise almost close to the danger mark.
