Temporary Respite; Temperature To Rise High Again

While the people of Odisha experience respite from the rising temperature, the Met department played a spoil sport by announcing a sharp rise in temperature next week onwards.
In the last 48 hours, the temperature has come down due to a change in the weather condition resulting in a pleasant cool weather but the news of a sharp rise in the temperature has dampened the spirits of people.
According to the latest release by the Meteorological Centre on Friday, the temperature in the capital city, Bhubaneswar remained below 40 degree Celsius. Except the following cities that recorded a temperature close to 40 degrees, Sundargarh (39), Malkangiri, Titlagarh (38.5) and Bhawanipatna (38), the remaining places recorded moderate temperature.

Cuttack and Bhubaneswar recorded 35.4 and 37.6 degrees Celsius respectively.
The Met office has also warned of a thunderstorm and lightning at one or two places in the coastal and interior districts in the next 24 hours till April 24.
