Tea costs heavy at the expense of Health for 15 Persons

Tea is popular in India and people wouldn’t begin their day without it. But to some, it cost them their health seriously.

More than 15 persons were seriously affected after consuming tea in a discussion meeting at Ransingpur village under Bhograi block of Balasore district on Wednesday.

As per sources, the elders of the village had gathered to discuss over the preparation of a marriage in the family that is scheduled to be held soon.

During the meeting, tea was served and soon they fell ill. following which the persons were immediately sent to Sharadhapur Primary Health Centre (PHC). Later, they were shifted to Bhograi Community Health Centre (CHC) as their condition deteriorated.

On investigation, it was found that the person preparing the tea had accidentally used pesticide instead of tea dust.
