Odisha accepts PM Kisan scheme

The Odisha government agreed to be a member of the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi scheme ( PM KISAN )and effectively support its application in the State. Chief Secretary A.P. Padhi announced that the Central scheme (PM-Kisan) will provide ₹6,000 per annum to small and marginal farmers having cultivable land up to five acres. This would be launched in Odisha on February 24, along with the other States.

Odisha News Insights: The first instalment of Rs. 2,000 be directly wired to the beneficiaries’ bank accounts on February 24. This initiative will be entirely financed by the Union government.
