Naveen Patnaik urges investors to invest in sports in Odisha

Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik while addressing the valedictory ceremony of SPORTS IT 2020, touted as India’s first sports and innovation festival, at Kalinga Stadium where he urged start-ups and entrepreneurs to invest in the sports sector of the State. This event was jointly organised by Xavier Emlyon Business School (XEBS), the state government’s sports and youth services department.

Odisha that has been conferred with Sports-Star Ace Award for the consecutive second year as the Best State for Sports Promotion in the entire country had set the platform for such events to be conducted every year. Patnaik stated that this recognition indicates the commitment of the Odisha Government for the upliftment of sports.

Through the event, the chief minister awarded the Best Startup Award to Funngage, an integrated sports platform from Delhi, which earned a cash prize of Rs 1 lakh as declared by Emlyon Business School, France.
