Lawyers’ Strike Continue In Western Odisha, HC To Hold Hearing On March 2

The strike in Western Odisha has been continuing for some time now. The Bar Associations of Sambalpur, Bolangir, and Jharsuguda have been continuing with the stir demanding the establishment of permanent HC bench.

The Odisha high court has now fixed the date for hearing on March 2. Earlier on October, the Odisha High Court comprising of a full bench had conducted a hearing twice on the matter.

Noteworthy, legal proceedings in various courts have been hampered due to the ongoing strike by the lawyers.

The High Court has already served 30 notices to Odisha Bar Council and other lawyers’ associations in this connection.
