Five Persons Fall Sick After Drinking Fallacious Toddy In Sundergarh

After consuming fallacious toddy, five persons including a minor boy fell sick at Satakuta village under Bonai police station in Sundergarh district late last night. A few hours after consuming toddy, the five complained of vomiting and severe headache.

Despite several complaints, excise department has taken no action against the local traders selling toddy illegally in the region, alleged the relatives of the victim. Many allegations have surfaced that though the excise officials are conducting raids, they set free the toddy sellers after taking bribe from them.

Hopefully the allegations prove helpful in checking such corruptions.
