Bhubaneswar establishes new corona testing centre established

The total number of registered coronavirus Cases has been approximately 1,11,650. Recently, in Bhubaneswar, a testing facility for detection of novel coronavirus was unveiled in a government-run medical research unit- the Regional Medical Research Centre (RMRC). So far, there has been no positive case of the disease detected in Odisha.

Health department’s secretary Nikunja Bihari Dhal said that the first coronavirus testing sample has already been tested at the RMRC institute, which was found to be negative. One hundred thirty-one persons have been put under the Integrated Disease Surveillance Programme (IDSP) so far, he further added. RMRC will receive the samples of all suspected coronavirus cases from every private and government hospital for testing.
