First Coronavirus patient dies in Odisha

Odisha registered it’s first coronavirus death in AIIMS.

A 72-yr-old man belonging to Jharpada had been admitted to AIIMS Bhubaneswar on 4 April complaining of respiratory distress. He had a history of chronic hypertension. He died on 6 April. He was tested positive for COVID-19. Contact tracing & containment ongoing: Dept of Health, Odisha tweeted.

Odisha has seen a surge in the number of cases since April 5th.

The govt of Odisha, has managed to establish the largest COVID-19 establishment on odisha, partnering with KIMS and SUM Hospital. Naveen Patnaik, the CM of the state has declared free treatment for every COVID-19 victim on the state.
