4 months advance salary given to doctors and health care workers in Odisha

India is fully under the grip of the global pandemic, and the first line of defence are our doctors, paramedics and healthcare workers. The Odisha Govt acknowledged this fact. To strengthen the process, Naveen Patnaik has announced advance salary of four months in April for all these personnel.

This announcement came through a video tweeted by CM Naveen Patnaik stating,

“Our doctors, paramedics and healthcare workers are in the first line of defence providing relentless services amid these difficult conditions.”

Subroto Bagchi, entrepreneur, business leader and the current Covid-19 spokesperson announced that Rs 44.50 crore has been released from Chief Minister’s Relief Fund to 30 districts and Red Cross Societies for taking necessary steps for combating Covid-19 situation in Odisha. This declaration was made in a regular press briefing by Odisha government.
