Vedanta organizes workshop on Odisha’s Prosperity at Lanjigarh

Bhubaneswar, Dec 22: Vedanta Limited under its Public Relations department had organized a day-long workshop “A Road Map to Odisha’s Prosperity”for the intellectuals based in Kalahandi District.  The module for the workshop was “How Odisha Can Fast Track Industrilisation for Development of the State” and Chief Guest for the session was Director, Indian Institution of Mass Communication-Dhenkanal , Dr.Mrinal Chatterjee.

” Despite deposits of vast mineral resources , the State of Odisha continued to remain backward even after five decades of independence. Development of the state can be made by using such resources through Industrialization which can mitigate the poverty and various problems like migration” said Chatterjee.
Others on the dais are Bimalananda Senapati- Plant Head, Dr.AkhayaNanda- Retd. Professor, Jalaj Malpani-VP Finance and Arun Bhatt-Corporate PR Head.

Mr Bimalananda Senapati, Plant head says “Vedanta as a responsible corporate has been partnering with the community for the development of the region. To be noted that it runs at a capacity of 25 % and fighting for continuous bauxite linkage since last 10 years”.

Later Mr Chatterjee visited the plant and given a speech to the employees on Communication at Crisis.

Officials from Vedanta Limited named Mahendra Raut-Head HRD, Biraja Shankar Mund-Power plant Head, Rabi Narayan Mishra-Head HSE also participated.
