Cuttack MP Bhartuhari Mahatab inches closer to BJP

Senior BJD leader, Lok Sabha MP from Cuttack and BJD’s Leader in Lok Sabha, Bhartruhari Mahatab has taken a step closer to join BJP sooner or later with his pro-Modi and pro-Dharmendra approach.

During the launch of Urja Ganga Gas Pipeline Project in Bhubaneswar, Mahatab termed P&NG Minister Dharmendra Pradhan as a popular and favourite minister, who is working hard to fulfil the aspiration of the people of Odisha.

Mahatab, who had in the past, showed soft corner for BJP and Narendra Modi during various debates in Lok Sabha, has been an aspirant to join Modi Cabinet. However, BJD’s equi-distance policy played the spoilsport for him.

In today’s speech, Mahatab explained to the audience how Modi tried to change if the fate of Eastern part of India and Dharmendra Pradhan is working in the right direction to fulfil that goal. He minced no words to hail Modi and Dharmendra as great leaders.

The latest development has raised eyebrows in Odisha’s political circle. Amma d the reports of growing distance between CM Naveen Patnaik and some of his MPs, it won’t be a surprise if Mahatab and a few others revolt and land in BJP’s lap.
