Two RPF Jawans suspended for assaulting a Divyang at Balasore Station

Divyang at Balasore Two Railway Protection Force (RPF) personnel have been suspended in connection with the assault on a divyang in Balasore district of Odisha for allegedly stealing a mobile phone.

The Union Railway Minister Suresh Prabhu has tweeted about the suspension.

“I had taken immediate cognizance of the case,had ordered enquiry.Subsequently, two RPF personnel responsible have been put under suspension,” Prabhu tweeted.

Reportedly, a divyang (differently-abled man) was thrashed and kicked by the Railway Police at Platform No 4 in Balasore Railway Station.

The officials were caught on camera beating and kicking the helpless man who was sitting on the ground.
