State Cabinet approves 10 Proposals

Odisha Cabinet on Wednesday approved ten proposals including filling up vacancies in the Sports Departments at a Meeting chaired by Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik at the State Secretariat.

The Cabinet also approved a proposal of the Water Resources department on compensation towards acquisition of land for irrigation project. According to which the Odisha Government will grant full compensation to the entire village if 75% private land is acquired for an irrigation project.

Amendments to Sales Tax and VAT were also approved by the State Cabinet.

The Cabinet meeting also decided that the State Government will remain as guarantor for the loan given to Aska Sugar Mill.
