PM Modi’s Poverty remark rocks Odisha Assembly, Deadlock still prevails

Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s Odisha poverty remark created uproar at the State Assembly once again when Congress members demanded a censure motion be passed in the Assembly against Prime Minister Narendra Modi for its poverty jibe on Odisha.

Congress Chief Whip Tara Prasad Bahinipati questioned on Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik’s silence over PM Modi’s “Poor Odisha” remarks.

Talking to media persons, Bahinipati said that the Prime Minister should seek an apology in either the Parliament or before the media for his poverty remark against odisha and people living in.

Later, the Congress members shouted anti-Modi and BJP slogans. Unable to run the House the Speaker adjourned the House first till 11 pm, then till 3 pm and then again for one hour following din over PM’s remark.
