Odisha to use DMF for building Roads in Remote Areas

After a review meeting held by Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik, the Rural Development Minister Badri Naraya Patra said that Odisha government will utilize District Mineral Fund (DMF) to improve road connectivity in remote areas of the State.

Minister Patra informed that, a survey will be done before finalising the project. The budget provision is Rs 400 crore for the current financial year.

Patra stated that under the Biju Setu Yojana, out of all 402 bridges, the department has completed 235 bridges in the last two years and the initiative have taken to achieve a target to provide road connectivity to 3,400 villages during the current year.
