Odisha soon to establish Characterisation Laboratory for Entrepreneurs

Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik on Tuesday announced, his government and STPI (Software Technology Park of India) will jointly establish a characterisation laboratory in the state, while addressing a Convocation cermony. The laboratory will helpful for entrepreneurs to test their semiconductor designs.

The Governor and Chancellor Dr.S.C. Jamir and Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik with other dignitaries attended the 1st Convocation of International Institute of Information Technology (IIIT) Bhubaneswar at the Gothapatna campus on the outskirts of Bhubaneswar.

Addressing the 1st Convocation of IIIT, Naveen Patnaik said to student that the Electronic Systems Design and Manufacturing (ESDM) incubation centre will be established to promote the Start-ups across the State.

Notably, the State Cabinet on Tuesday approved the new Start-up Policy to promote entrepreneurship in the State.
