Odisha Private Bus Owners’ Statewide strike on September 29
The Odisha Private Bus Owners’ Association on Sunday threatened to go on a state-wide 24-hour halt in bus movement across the State on September 29, demanding immediate release of Maharaja bus owner, who was arrested on Friday.
All bus owners and staff started wearing black badges from today. Black flags puts up in all the buses in protest. The private bus owners will hold indefinite strike from October 7 over the arrest of Rishabh Tripathy, owner of the ill-fated ‘Maharaja’ bus of Athmalik.
Notably, Police arrested Rishabh Kumar Tripathi, owner of the Maharaja bus. He was sent to jail on Saturday after a local court rejected his bail plea.
