Odisha Police confirms Maoists’ Abduction of Poll Officials in Malkangiri Region

Odisha Police on Saturday confirmed that Maoists abducted Poll Officials in Malkangiri Region.

Reportedly, the Poll officials Praveen Soren, Kamalakant Se said the report of abduction is true.

Accordint to their statement, Parsuram Behera, Lingaraj Majhi, Hrushi Nayak managed to escape from the spot and 3 more poll staffs SP Rajguru, Padmanabha Bala and Babu are still under Maoists custody.

As many as 22 Maoist cadres were involved in abduction as earlier the ultras warned the tribals of the area to restrain from Panchayat Polls.
