Odisha Panchayat Poll: 5,403 Nomination Papers filed in Second Phase

Around 5,403 nomination papers were filed for various PRI posts in the second phase of nominations filed between January 27 and 30, the State Election Commission sources informed.

The nominations were filed for the three-tier Panchayat elections scheduled to start from February 13 in Odisha. The polling will take place in five phases on February 13, 15, 17, 19 and 21.

According to the list, while 5,365 papers filed for ward member posts, 21 filed for Sarpanch and 17 nominees have filed for Panchayat Samiti Member posts.
