Odisha Pakhala Dibasa celebrated by Odias Worldwide

Odisha - Pakhala DibasaIn a move to promote Odia food and welcome summer with Odisha’s traditional food, people of Odisha are celebrating 20 March as ‘Pakhala Dibasa’.

This day is declared Pakhala Dibasa (Universal Pakhala Day) by Odias worldwide to glorify the delicacy.

Thousands of Odias working all over the world has not lost appetite for this food that could give them a night of deep sleep after a strenuous schedule of work.

Having varied classifications, ‘Pakhala’ can be, Dahi Pakhala, Sajja Pakhala, Garama Pakhala, Jeera Pakhala and Basi Pakhala.

Pakhala is popular in odisha, Bengal, Assam, Jharkhand and Chhattisgarh.
