Odisha Govt to set up Public Libraries across the State

The Odisha Cabinet chaired by Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik on Monday  approved the Odisha Public Libraries Rules, 2016 to establish public libraries across the state.

The State government will establish public libraries starting from state level to district level and Panchayat level, said Tourism and Culture Secretary Manoranjan Panigrahi.

The cabinet also decided to form a public library council at the state level to manage all the libraries across the state.
