Odisha Govt clears 2 Investment Projects worth Rs 224 crore

odisha-investment-projectsThe Odisha Government has approved 2 new investment projects envisaging the investment of around 224 crore. These projects included the proposal of Indian Farmers Fertilizer Cooperatives (IFFCO) and Well Spun Odisha Steel Pvt Ltd.

The Single Window Clearance Authority Meeting held on Thursday under the Chairmanship of Chief Secretary Aditya Prasad Padhi.

Reviewing the progress on investment intends mobilized in Make in India week in Mumbai and Odisha Investors Meet in Bengaluru, Chief Secretary Sri Padhi advised respective secretaries to follow up the projects intenst through facilitating support for translating the intents in to reality.

Replying to the media query after the meeting, General Manager IPICOL Sri Kalayan Mohanty said that the project proposal of IFFCO for setting up a railway siding at new Paradeep station yard was approved in the meeting. The project envisaged investment of Rs 63.55 cr . The project would provide employment to around 97 persons. It targeted to be completed within 14 months.

Around 49 acre of land required for the siding has also been identified. IFFCO would also allow other companies to use this siding. Another approved project was the proposal of Welspun Odisha Pvt Ltd to set up 0.27 MTPA long product (steel) facilities center at Dosingha near Dhamara of Bhadrak district. The proposal envisaged investment of around Rs 160.15 cr and provide employment to around 915 persons. The land required for the purpose is around 40 acres.
