Odisha to get Rs 70,000 crore Revenue from Coal Blocks: Piyush Goyal

piyush-goyalUnion Power, Coal, New and Renewable Energy and Mines Minister Piyush Goyal on Friday said Odisha will get Rs 70,000 crore revenue from 12 coal blocks allocated to the State.

Addressing at the Make in Odisha Conclave in Bhubaneswar Goyal said Odisha’s mining industry has the potential to transform the state into one with full employment to its people.

Giving stress on saving energy Goyal said Odisha Government has already sold 18 crore LED bulbs and replaced 73 lakh bulbs till date.

The Minister further said that every home in Odisha will have electricity by 2018. Electrification of 1811 villages has already been completed by the central government.
