Odisha CM meets ‘Sheroes Hangout’ Acid Attack Survivors

Insight Bureau: Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik met the acid attack survivors who have formed ‘Sheroes Hangout’ – a Café that develops opportunities for acid attack victims.

The CM met the brave hearts at the Secretariat yesterday and encouraged them to keep doing their good work. He also hailed their efforts towards the society despite all odds.

The 8-member team from ‘Sheroes Hangout’ were in Odisha to attend the Kiah Fashion Show, organised by Parichay Foundation on Tuesday. They walked the ramp to raise funds for the education of drop-out girls from underprivileged families as part of the Alaknanda Scholarship Programme, Parichay’s flagship project.

The eight survivors included Pramodini Roul who belongs to Odisha, currently work in Sheroes Café, (Agra and Lucknow), which is managed by Delhi-based Chhanv Foundation.
