Odisha Cabinet approves GST Bill; Monsoon Session to begin from Sep 21

The State Cabinet chaired by Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik on Tuesday approved four proposals at the State Secretariat including GST Bill, new Start-up Policy- 2016, postponement of monsoon session and formation of Higher Education Council.

The Cabinet today approved GST Bill. A special session will be held at State Assembly to discuss about the Bill.

The Cabinet also decided to postpone the monsoon session of State Legislative Assembly for Nuakhai festival. The  session is scheduled to start from September 21 instead of September 7.

In addition, the Cabinet approved the formation of Higher Education Council with the Higher Education Minister Dr. Pradeep Kumar Panigrahy as its chairperson.
