Ahead of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and BJP CMs’ Odisha visit in April, more than 30 naxals attacked Daikallu Railway Station in Rayagada district late last night, triggered blast inside the engine of a goods train.
The Ultras pulled the station master SK Parida out of the office and forced him to stop a goods train following which they snatched away the walkie-talkie of the train driver.
The Maoists left behind handwritten posters opposing the policies of Modi government and Naveen Patnaik in Odisha.
Many trains were stranded near Muniguda Railway Station in the district. Trains on Rayagada-Titilagarh line were also stopped.
However, no railway staff or local people were hurt in the incident.
