Maoists ask people not to take part in Panchayat Polls

Ahead of Panchayat Elections, the Maoist threatened the people of Rayagada district to restrain from Panchayat Polls.

Maoist posters and banners were found in several places in Rayagada district including Kalyansinghpur and Sikarpal area, warning villagers to abstain from the upcoming three-tier panchayat polls.

In a written letter they warned that if anybody contests for upcoming Panchay Polls would be sentenced to death in People’s Court.
