The mystery of the baby girl swapping case at Veer Surendra Sai Institute of Medical Sciences and Research (VIMSAR), Burla was confirmed with the DNA test on Thursday and handed over the girl child to its biological parents, Gagan Bihari Patra and his wife.
Previously, Gagan Bihari Patra of Naktideula area in Sambalpur district, had lodged a complaint alleging that his baby was swapped with another one in the hospital. Gagan and his wife didn’t accept that the dead infant was theirs and demanded a DNA test.
