Dharmendra Pradhan meets Family of Salman Rout in Tarabha

Union P&NG Minister Dharmendra Pradhan met the family members of deceased BJP Worker Salman Rout in Tarabha village in Dhenkanal district and extended his full support to them. He also promised to fight till justice is delivered to Salman.

While talking to media, Mr. Pradhan condemned the violence and brutal murder of Salman in Tarabha. He put the blame on ruling BJD and state government, saying they are all out in open to murder the democracy. He termed the incident in Tarabha as a heinous crime and pre-planned murder. He also condemned the police excess on common people aftermath Salman’s murder.

Dharmendra Pradhan questioned CM Naveen Patnaik’s silence on this matter and warned him to ensure a fair and unbiased probe into the matter and justice to the victim. “If the police and district administration fail in their duty, we will resort to poltiical agitation across the state,” he said.

Salman Rout was gunned down in a poll-related violence last week. The main accused Byomokesh Biswal, who is also an OSAP jawan, was arrested. He is the nephew of BJD leader and Block Vice Chairman Hrudananda Biswal. Meanwhile, the BJD has rubbished the allegations and asked Dharmendra Pradhan not to politicise the murder.
