Denied help, man walks 15 km carrying Daughter’s Body on shoulder

In a sensational instance, a man in Pallahara of Angul district carried the dead body of his daughter on his shoulder as he had failed to get a mortuary van to transport the deceased body from the Hospital authority in Pallahara.

Reportedly, Gati Dhibar of Pechamundi village walked around 15 km carrying his 5-year old daughter’s dead body on his shoulder who died at the Palahada Community Health Centre (CHC) in Angul on Wednesday.

In this connection,  the District Collector of Angul, said an explanation has been sought from the SDMO regarding the issue.
