Cyclone, Heavy Rains Likely in Odisha
Most parts of the State will experience rainfall in next 48 hours due to the formation of a low pressure over southeast Bay of Bengal.
According to the Indian Metrological Department (IMD), the low pressure which was formed over south Andaman Sea is expected to turn into a deep depression during next 24 hours and further intensification into a cyclonic storm in next 24 hours.
Some part of south and coastal Odisha may witness heavy rain during 10th to 13th December.
In this connection, the Special Relief Commissioner has advised the District Collectors to keep the situation under watch.
However, farmers were requested to keep their harvested paddy under cover or shift to safety place and protect it from rain.
