BJP, BJD Activists clash during Bandh in City

The BJP and BJD activists clashed at Ram Mandir Chhak and Master Canteen Square in Bhubaneswar today during the 12-hour Bhubaneswar bandh called by BJP over city Mayor Ananta Narayan Jena’s alleged link in the video tape and involvement in Rishi murder case.

BJD Workers beat up BJP Cadres at Ram Mandir Square, stone pelting from both sides as two parties hit the streets to oppose each other today.

Bhubaneswar DCP Satyabrata Bhoi and Police Commissioner YB Khurania reached the spot. Many BJP activists were later arrested in this connection.

During the Bandh, Government Offices vandalised, bike set on fire near Sriya Square. BJP Workers allegedly vandalised shops and vehicles  in various parts of the city, including Sailashree Vihar, Khandagiri, CRP Square, Jaydev Vihar.
