“Biju Gaon Gaadi” covers 490 GPs, says Transport Minister Ramesh Majhi

The ‘Biju Gaon Gaadi’ Scheme launched in February 2014 has covered connectivity in as many as 490 Gram Panchayats (GPs) in last 2 years.

In a high level meeting held by the Odish Chief Minister, the Commerce and Transport Minister Ramesh Majhi  said this. He also informed that this year the BJD government aims to cover road connectivity in more 335 Gram Panchayats.

Notably, the programme was launched in backward Blocks of Koraput, Nabarangpur, Malkangiri, Rayagada, Kalahandi, Phulbani, Gajapati, Sundargarh, Sambalpur, Keonjhar, Mayurbhanj and Balasore districts.
