Bhubaneswar ranks 10th position in City Governance Survey

Bhubaneswar1The Annual Survey of India’s City-System (ASICS) was undertaken by Bengaluru-based Janaagraha Centre for Citizenship and Democracy (JCCD) which evaluated 21 major Cities from the India’s 18 States.

According to the 2016 survey, Bhubaneswar which has jumped eight places in 2015, ranked at the 10th spot on basis of 83 governance parameters including taxation, local governance models, political participation of citizens, law and order, financial capacity of the city that will be able to deliver better quality of life to citizens over the medium and long-term.

Thiruvananthapuram retains its number one position in the annual city governance ranking while Pune is ranked second and Kolkata retains its third slot.
