94 of 102 Govt Colleges in Odisha running without Principals

In Odisha there are a total of 102 Government colleges out of which 94 colleges have no regular Principals.

This is informed by the Higher Education Minister Pradeep Kumar Panigrahi in the State Assembly in reply to a question of BJP MLA Dilip Ray.

Similarly, none of the 1,224 Government-aided Plus Two and Plus Three colleges (701 Plus Two) and (523 Plus Three) has sanctioned Principal post.

Though these colleges have a total of 6,366 Lecturer posts, of them 1,000 posts are remaining vacant.

Similarly, over 1,500 Professor posts and nonteaching categories are lying vacant in the seven universities run by the State Government now.
