4th Phase Panchayat Polls: BJD stays ahead, BJP continues to rise

bjpSituation was no different in the fourth phase panchayat polls in Odisha today, as BJP continued to surge like the previous three phases. BJD stayed ahead, but BJP gave them a tough fight.

Out of 161 Zilla Parishad Zones that went to polls today, BJD is leading in 88 seats, while BJP is ahead in 63 seats. Congress is leading in 8 seats, while others are leading in 2 seats.
BJD made a clean sweep in Ganjam (13), Bhadrak (5), Angul (8), Puri (6), Nayagarh (2), Jajpur (5), Koraput (6) and Kendrapara (7). The BJP made a clean sweep in Mayurbhanj (10), Kalahandi (5), Malkangiri (3), Subarnapur (2) and Deogarh (3).
BJP did clean sweap in nine seats out of nine in Kalahandi 30-0, while other parties have to open account in the district yet.
BJD received a massive jolt today, as BJP won 7 out of 9 Zones today. Minister Pradeep Maharathy halted BJP’s March in Puri district, by helping BJD win all 6 seats in Delang-Pipili area.
