20 International Airlines keen to start operations from Odisha

bhubaneswar AirportBhubaneswar, Sep 26: As many as 20 international airlines have expressed their interest to start operations from Odisha’s Biju Patnaik International Airport here. According to sources, 20 major international carriers including Mega Maldives Airlines, Bangkok Airways, Kenya Airways, Hong Kong Airlines, and Fly Emirates are willing to add Bhubaneswar in their list of destinations.

Currently, Indian Airlines is the lone carrier that has been providing connectivity to international destinations from Biju Patnaik International Airport here.

It is noteworthy that, Director of Biju Patnaik International Airport, Sharad Kumar attended World Road Conference held at Durban, South Africa. Kumar apprised the officials in the conference about the commercial aspects, amenities and infrastructure of Biju Patnaik International Airport. Expressing his happiness over the presentation at the conference, Kumar said that discussions were successful as 20 leading airlines were keen to start their operations from here by next year.
