Sasikala Natarajan takes charge as AIADMK General Secretary

Sasikala Natarajan, the close friend of former Tamil Nadu Chief Minister J Jayalalithaa, has formally taken charge as General secretary of the AIADMK.

Ms Natarajan, 54, paid floral tributes to her political mentor J.Jayalalithaa and party founder MG Ramachandran at the AIADMK office before taking charge.

Talking about Jaya lalithaa, Sasikala said Amma is not with us now but our party will rule here for the next 100 years.

Hundreds of supporters gathered at AIADMK office in Chennai to greet her.
