Sasikala convicted in DA Case, sentenced to 4 years in Jail

This is a big blow for Sasikala as the Supreme Court of India on Tuesday convicted VK Sasikala in disproportionate assets case.

The Apex Court sentenced 4 years jail for Sasikala and asked her to surrender immediately and pay a penalty of 10 crore.

According to the rule made by the Court, Sasikala would not contest an election for 6 years, after her release from jail. She has barred from electoral politics for 10 years.

As per the SC order she will serve rest of her jail sentence of three years and six months as she has already served almost six months in jail.
