The Gujarat Cricket Association (GCA) Vice President Parimal Nathwani on Monday laid foundation stone for the world’s biggest cricket stadium at Motera in Ahmedabad at a cost of 700 crore.
The new stadium with a seating capacity of 1.1 lakh, which was designed by world renowned architect firm M/s. Populou, expected to be completed in two years. The parking area will accommodate about 3,000 cars and 10,000 two-wheelers.
Reportedly, the Melbourne Cricket Ground is the biggest cricket facility in the world currently with a seating capacity of 90,000.
