Kerala to become First Indian State to launch Sex Offenders Registry

The Governor of Kerala P Sathasivam on Thursday announced that Kerala will begin sex offenders’ registry to check atrocities against women in the State.

With this, Kerala becomes the first Indian State to put out identification details of sex offenders in public domain.

Talking to media persons Sathasivam said, Kerala Government will set up a sex offenders’ which will maintain all identification details of sex offenders and will be kept in the public domain.

The Governor announced it in the Assembly at the beginning of the Budget Session.
