PM Modi celebrates Diwali with Jawans at Indo-China Border

modi-with-armyPrime Minister Narendra Modi on Sunday celebrated Diwali with jawans in a remote area of Sumdo near the India-China border, in Kinnaur district of Himachal Pradesh.

PM Modi interacted with jawans from the Indo-Tibetan Border Police (ITBP) and the Indian Army, and offered sweets to them.

Prime Minister was accompanied by the National Security Adviser Ajit Doval and the army chief, General Dalbir Singh Suhag.

The Prime Minister said that giving One Rank One Pension to ex-servicemen was a promise that he had made, and he was happy that he had been able to fulfil it.

The Prime Minister also spent some time with the locals in Chango village in Kinnaur district. He exchanged Diwali greetings, interacted with the people there, and offered sweets to children.
