Indian Army surgical strike destroys 7 Terror Camps in PoK

loc-indian-armyIndian Army has carried out surgical strikes targeting “launch pads” for terrorists across the Line of Control (LoC) on Wednesday night.

Seven terror launch pads were targeted by Special Forces of the Indian Army during the ‘surgical strike’.

Reportedly, Special Commandos and Paratroopers were involved in the operation, which began at 12:30 AM and ended at 4:30 AM.

Commandos were airdropped at LoC from where they went 3km inside PoK or Pak territory to launch the strike. Once the operation was over, they returned safely.

Official sources said, 7 Terror Camps destroyed, 38 terrorists killed, 9 Pakistan Army men were killed, 10 injured in Surgical Strike across Line of Control.

Defence Minister Manohar Parrikar holds all-party meeting in North Block to brief all parties on surgical strike in PoK. Earlier on Thursday morning, Army officials briefed Prime Minister Narendra Modi about the security situation.

In this connection, Minister of External Affairs, Sushma Swaraj met Congress President Sonia Gandhi.

The President of India, Vice President and former Prime Minister Dr. Manmohan Singh were briefed about the strike. All Chief Ministers were also informed about the strike in LoC.

Pakistan has denied the Indian Army’s surgical strikes along LoC said, it was the cross-border firing that killed two Pakistani soldiers.

However, Indian Army has video evidence of surgical strikes across Line of Control. Operation was recorded on camera.

Indian DGMO Lt Gen Ranbir Singh announced that Pakistan has been informed about the strikes and that India has no intention of continuing the operations but is always ready to strike back to Pakistan.

High alert issued in all border areas including Gujarat’s border districts of Kutch and Banaskantha. Punjab’s border villages being evacuated. Indian Army has cancelled leaves of all Indian Soldiers deployed on the Border.
