SAI Conferred with Coveted International School Award

SAI international schoolSAI International School has been conferred upon with the honor of receiving the International School Award 2014-17 by the British Council, UK in the outstanding category for second successive time.

An international initiative of the British Council the ISA providing an opportunity to benchmark the international contributions of schools as per global standards the ISA projects fosters international thoughts and understanding through curriculum.

The school along with its partner schools in countries like USA, UK, China, Sri Lanka, were able to complete 12 projects, including Aqua worldwide, Family days, SAIONEER Exim, Take a look in book, Bugs in my play ground, Dress up, Hinglish, In the news, Handloooms, and Handicrafts to name a few. One such project namely, The Fairytale Wall, entailed the gifting a sensory wall to the deaf and mute students of a city based Institution.

While introducing the recipients to the new concept in story telling by feeling the 3-D wall, the unique gift has made a mark for itself by being selected as the top 5 stories of change in India at the DFC “I CAN” awards.

Through the other British Council Connecting Classrooms initiatives, they have striven to bring a considerable impact on the community by holding many projects exuding the compassion in our students.

The “Crib bumper project”, was another collaborative community project which received laurels for making cribs of the babies at the Mother Teresa center more comfortable and warm by providing extra cushioning to the existent edges which were hard.

For this a donation drive for bed sheets was organized evoking an overwhelming response from the students.

Sakhyam, a project that involved training of young men to earn while they learn also touched the lives of many while bringing about a positive change in the lives of many.

SAI international was also among the only two Schools selected to represent India at the Commonwealth Games 2014 from July 23 to August 3, 2014 by winning the British Council Commonwealth Class Project.

SAI International actively partners with Schools across the globe for working jointly in projects dealing with global issues paving the way for collaborative benefits. Strongly believing that sharing best practices improves teaching and education standards in the School and country as a whole, SAI international collaborates and completes projects enhancing quality of teaching learning process in the school.
