ASBM, IIT Kharagpur, Ennovent organise Business Canvas Model Workshop

ASBM BUSINESS CANVAS WORKSHOPBhubaneswar, Oct 12: Business Canvas Model Workshop was conducted in collaboration with Entrepreneurship Cell of IIT Kharagpur and Ennovent at ASBM campus on September 23, 2015. First time initiative by any business school in Odisha for practical exercise exposure in generating new ideas with students participating form IMBA and PGDM.

Resource person from Ennovent Shri. Chandrakant, Master degree holder in Social Entrepreneurship from Hult International Business School, UK, conducted Business Canvas Model workshop for developing new ideas with involvement of students from IMBA and PGDM Students in the workshop.

Best Two Business ideas presented by the students will qualify for the semi finals of ‘International Business Model Competition’ to be held in Global Entrepreneurship Summit 2016 at IIT Kharagpur between 8-10 January 2016.

The Business Model Canvas workshop was conducted under the flagship of Entrepreneurship Development Cell of ASBM, coordinator Prof. (Dr.) Saikat Gochhait.

In another programme on road to excellence lecture series, Shri V. K. Gupta, Professor of IIM Indore, addressed the students of Asian School of Business Management under ‘Road to Excellence’ Lecture Series in the institute’s campus on September 22, 2015. Speaking on the topic “Stakeholder Value Management”, he explained how to achieve customer joy without destroying the value. He said, “As the source of money is either own or loan, it has to be linked with profit, growth and value.” He added, “Your customer should regard you as the best. He further said that employee should feel ownership to have full focus while analyzing objective of each prospective and this way the value of commitment can be maintained high.

This programme, being entirely student-driven, was conducted by students where Ms. Reshmi introduced the guest speaker and the vote of thanks was proposed by Ms. Kriti Dev. The event concluded with the felicitation of Shri V. K. Gupta by the Prof. M. N. Samantaray Das in the presence of students and members of faculty.
