NFAI launches special Film Club for Youngsters

National Film Archive of IndiaThe National Film Archive of India (NFAI) has launched an exclusive film club for youngsters in association with Arbhaat Films.

Talking to the newspersons, NFAI director Prakash Magdum said the new club will be open for the children following the age group of 9-16 years. The screening of the film will be organized in Pune on the last week of every month.

The screening is all set to start from February 25, 2017, 4 pm to 6 pm at NFAI’s Kothrud premises in Pune aiming to make the children comprehensible about the wonders and the importance of cinema.

The first screening film will be Sonar Kella (1974) multiple national award winning film of Satyajit Ray.

The club aims to create a bond between the youngsters and cinema. Children should see great films from around the world which will impact their character said by the renowned film maker and founder of Arbhaat films, Umesh Kulkarni.
